How do I set up TikTok Live Bar?

After installing, open the app from your Shopify admin. Enter your TikTok username, choose a bar design, and click Save. Then go to your Theme Editor and enable the 'TikTok Live Bar' app embed. That's it!

Why isn't the bar showing on my store?

Make sure you've (1) entered your TikTok username, (2) saved your settings, and (3) enabled the app embed in your Theme Editor (Online Store → Customize → App Embeds → toggle on TikTok Live Bar). The bar only appears when it detects a live stream or when in preview mode.

How does live detection work?

The app checks your TikTok live status automatically at regular intervals. When it detects you're streaming, the bar appears on your store. When you stop streaming, the bar disappears. No manual action needed.

Can I customize the bar text and design?

Yes! You can choose from 10+ professional templates, customize colors, gradients, text, add a pulsing live dot, and more. All changes are previewed in real-time before you save.

Does the app slow down my store?

No. The announcement bar is a lightweight HTML element injected via Shopify's native app embed system. It uses minimal JavaScript and does not affect your store's loading speed or SEO.

What data does the app collect from my visitors?

Only anonymous, aggregated counts — how many times the bar was displayed (impressions) and how many times it was clicked (clicks). No personal data, cookies, or IP addresses are collected. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use the app on multiple stores?

Yes! Install TikTok Live Bar on each store separately. Each installation is independent with its own settings and analytics.

How do I uninstall the app?

Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin, find TikTok Live Bar, and click Uninstall. All your data will be removed within 30 days.
